The Imperative is the mood we use to give orders, instructions (like in a recipe or GPS), or advice.
In Portuguese, the conjugation changes depending on who you are talking to:
1. Informal (Tu) Used for friends, family, and children.
The Shortcut: It is usually the same as the Ele/Ela form in the Present Tense.
2. Formal (Você) Used for strangers, older people, or clients.
The Switch: We usually swap the vowel endings. Verbs ending in -AR change to -E. Verbs in -ER/-IR change to -A.
